Hatha Flow with Janette
This class gives you a wonderful workout as well as incorporating breathing and meditation into the practice.
Warming up first before flowing and deepening the pose.
Janette gives lots of modifications so that everyone can do this class.
You are encouraged to go at your own pace for comfort and safety.
We have fun connecting to our body and breath as we stretch, strengthen and balance.
Finishing in deep relaxation being soothed by the sound of quartz crystal bowls. Allows you to feel the benefits of the whole practice.

Restorative Yoga with Janette
A very gentle form of yoga using props such as bolsters and cushions creating ease and comfort to help open the body to deeply relax and revitalise.
Creating a feeling of well-being, rebalance, inner peace and calmness. Encourages flexibility and de-stresses the body, mind and soul.
This practice is recommended for everyone, whether you are busy, stressed, recovering from illness or injury.
Especially if you want to feel nurtured, nourished, rested and recharged.
In a supported relaxing atmosphere it brings you into a conscious state of letting go and surrendering.
Final relaxation bathes you in the sound and vibration of Quartz crystal bowls taking you to state of bliss.

Hi ... I am Janine and I am excited to be able to offer Hatha Flow Yoga here on Maggie.
I started out as a Registered Nurse over 30 years ago and very soon recognised that the "band aids" we were putting on people weren’t working long term and that dis-ease was often preventable with good lifestyle choices. I saw time and again that a “Wholistic” approach to health and prevention is better than cure and it has become my passion to help people come back home to themselves, to the mind, body, soul connection – back to the heart becoming their own healers and preventors of dis-ease.
My yoga journey began as a student in 1996 after being diagnosed with Endometriosis in my 20s finding a practice that nourished and nurtured me.
I trained as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness instructor in 2007 developing a Lifestyle/Aqua Fitness Business in NZ. Some major life challenges happened, and I moved to Australia in 2011 - Yoga was once again my balance.

Ruth is a passionate yoga teacher specializing in Vinyasa, Hatha, and Restorative yoga. With a background in contemporary dance, her teaching style brings a unique fluidity and creativity to her classes, often feeling like a choreography that seamlessly flows from one posture to the next. Ruth ensures that her classes are accessible to all levels, tailoring each session to meet the individual needs of her students.
Her teaching experience includes classes, workshops, retreats, and festivals in locations such as England, Panama, and Australia. Ruth first discovered Magnetic Island through a yoga position at Selina and has since become returned offering her classes at Serenity Space Yoga and Nomads Hostel. Whether you're new to yoga or have an established practice, Ruth’s classes provide a supportive and nurturing environment for all.

Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a slow meditative form of yoga that emphasizes on holding poses .
Centering on stretching deeper connective tissues ,ligaments,tendons and deep fascia(the tissues that surrounds the muscles)
Surrendering and allowing gravity to open the joints.

Hatha Flow with Rocky
Rise and Shine .Welcomes all levels ,male and female .
A flow class that will get your energy moving.
Starting in relaxation letting go and bring you into the present moment .
Moving into warm ups allowing the body to warm, open and prepare for the flowing practice. Moving from pose to pose then holding and releasing each pose. Using the breath to create a smooth transition, connecting the body and mind in a moving meditation.Bringing you into a state of inner connection.
We finish in complete relaxation with the sound of quartz crystal bowls that will take you to a place of bliss .
This 90mins practice will leave you feeling strengthened, connected calm, peaceful and relaxed.

Relaxation has ended, you gently open your eyes and begin to move in readiness to sit up.
Somehow, you feel lighter, more alive, more spacious, and more connected to your breath and your body.

Practicing yoga helps you to feel calmer, relaxed, and more in tune with your body and yourself.

You feel lighter, happier, and more alive, because you've moved your body and when you move your body, you feel better. And who wouldn't want to feel better?
The best part about this feeling is that you can experience it everyday.
HOW?
When you begin to practice yoga regularly, you will start to notice this feeling, not only just after your class/practice finishes, but throughout your day as well.
You might find yourself not getting so stressed out about things that used to stress you out. Or you may begin to notice that you generally feel happier and more connected.
The physical and emotional benefits of yoga keep you coming back for more.
Please Remember
Please come 5-10 minutes early to get settled in and connect with the teacher before class.
Please remove your shoes at the front entrance. Be sure to turn your mobiles off or on silence before storing them.
It is really important to always listen to your body. Rest when your body tells you to, and move into comfort adjusting your body to the pose.
